what brand and size tips are you using for your surface cleaner

I use the GP as my vacuum surfacers require it. I also use the GP on my other one as I like them better.

iv also found that in the world of high pressure those little inserts (diffusers) make a diffrence so iv always applied this to powerwashing if for instance i was gunning at say14 k at 16 gpm witha zero degree my stream leaving the gun would be tight(not wide) even distribution of h2o inside of tip- just my 2 cents worth!! steve
 
I use a 25 and the ss. They are what came in my classic and I have neve tried anything in it but those. I ordered some extras from Bob th other day and just stuck with the same ones.
 
25 degree for the surface cleaners, 15 degree for blowing off, 40 degree for burning gun. This may vary with different set ups, but this is what works good for me.
 
I use GP alot the guys at industrial sell them . They are supposedly hard stainless... I use 2- 2.5 / 15 degree tips in the alladin adjustable unit and right now in my homemade surface cleaner I am using what was called a 2.2 tip that is 15 degree... When I ordered my new Mosmatic swivel the other day for my homemade unit ( DYG 4000 psi rated/carbide ) from Water Canon, I noticed they have killer prices on there GP nozzles as well as the swivels ..
 
SS 25 degree 6.5gpm nozzles on my two bar Maxima 36" - 13gpm 3500psi

SS 15 degree 4gpm nozzles on my two bar Stainless 24" - 8gpm 3500psi

I have found even running 10gpm on a 24", 15 degree nozzles were better. Some concrete is so nasty 25 degree nozzles would not clean as effectively even with chemical on a 10gpm 24" setup.

With the Maxima 36" pushing 13gpm, 25 degree nozzles worked better.

I respect Nicks opionion, I saw Scott & Russ voted 15. I looked and saw alot of guys at 25.

Nick whats your take on the 15 vers the 25

I will be flat honest, never used the 25 in the surface cleaner personally.

I might give them a whirl, i also know Nick uses a larger machine and i think that may be his answer.

Hey Ron, we do alot of flat work and the 25 X 4.0 in the surface cleaners work the best for me with the 8gpm machines 25 has a better spray pattern. We use the 40 degree for burning gum and blowing off as well, less stress on the concrete. Some sweepers come with 4 tips like my big guy did but i pluged up the other 2 holes for more pressure on the ground, but if you do run 4 tips i would think that 15's would work fine because of the coverage.
 
On our current project we're using 15's. Our machines have 4 bars.
We're using 1520's

The concrete here is BAD. The cream is gone. Its like PWing the aggregate, and it hasn't been done in years. Talk about white lines Geez.

Hey guys, I'm a newbie.
I have a question, and I know its kind of non related but, on the homepage of http://greatpressurewash.com/Curbie.html the guy is using a surface cleaner very similar to mine. I was wandering if the striping in the photo is normal. I am having this happen with mine. It almost completely dissapears when dry but it still bothers me very much. What am I doing wrong or what can I do different?
