“I’ve been begging for this job just to checkout these fans”

Hey Mikey, Are you going to service that metal roof when it rains?
We have come across some unusual fans over the years, but I haven't seen one that hinges like an accordian before. Who is the manufacturer? How difficult or easy was it to service? Are you using any safety equipment for that slick roof?

Not to bad, about one hour per fan. But boy that is pretty tough to lift by myself. The 4 fans that I do are all about two stories off the ground. I use my safety harness and Lanyard, and they have a cable setup at the peak to cross the rooftop to all the fans. I don’t know the name of the manufacturer.

Hey Rusty, I see you reading, but your not posting!

Maybe Rusty would post if we all chipped in and sent him $6,000.00??

How much are you putting in Douglas?

Grant, thanks for reminding me. I forgot to list the amount I have set aside.
It is $ . What the heck, my number keys just quit working! And I just got this comuter out of the shop. I'll have to get back to you in a couple of days. I will however, set up an escrow account for all of the donations everybody is sure to send me.

Do we Really want a "Rusty Penny" to come back?

I think not. :)

With Rusty posting, entertaining discussion always follows.

I have read this board for a while, but have never posted. I guess for fear anything I would have to say would be riddled with laughter and scorn. It is no wonder this board is falling apart with such examples of the posts that precede mine. There is very little talk about exhaust cleaning on this board anymore, just rhetoric and smart comments. I realize most of you are exhaust cleaning veterans, but how about helping out the juniors in this field instead of criticizing? I myself have been doing this for about a year and a half, quite successfully I might add. Even some veteran posters have seemed to disappear. Doesn't anyone wonder why? Good luck to you all and I will check back periodically to see if some KEC talk ever happens here anymore.

What is it that you expect to get from us? All questions are answered and anyone who asks for assistance is helped with candor.

It seems that you are creating a problem where there is none-sorry that you feel that way.

0303, We would like to help, but if you dont ask we can't. Most topics have been discussed at length, and we veterens here do deviate from topic just naturally but I don't think (or at least hope) we dont cause rhetoric or respond only with smart *** comments, well with the one exception, but that is only because he takes advantage of newbies and takes thier first years profit.

"well with the one exception, but that is only because he takes advantage of newbies and takes thier first years profit."

Hey phdco303 Ask a question. Somebody will answer it! And more than likely correctly at that.

As far as board traffic goes- Most of the Veterans have a pretty good idea of what there doing and dont need assitance as often.(or are actually out in the field attending to business)
The newer guys will come on and ask if they need information and as the veterans the more they actually work the more they figure out and maybe dont require assistance as often.
The same old guys always on here-YES and good thing to, because if they didnt stick around then nobody would answer your question!

"I have read this board for a while, but have never posted. I guess for fear anything I would have to say would be riddled with laughter and scorn."

I was once new to the board also and I havent endured any insults and or scorn.
So seems if your not part of the solution your part of the problem.
Oh and while I'm at it ,are you associated with Rusty Penny? lol.
