2-Step House Wash

Does anyone 2-step there house washing, I was sent a manual on the importance of applying a neutralizer then my soap to a house so the run off would leave the ground as it was before i got there. sounds like a good idea. do any of you pro's do this ?

Would there be any benefits to the house?

Do they say that it will make the house brighter?

Enviro**** manual says to do it so that they can sell their very very pricey neutralizer. I could see were it could be a good selling point but alot of people are using home brews and I really dont see were this stuff would be useful. I believe it sells for somewhere in the neighborhood of around $400.00 for a 55 gallon drum. Im not going to pay that much for that stuff.

I don't necessarily buy that the "2 step" process has the positive impact on the environment that is purported. For neutralization to occur between strong acids/alkalines, there needs to be a molar equivelence. My thought is that variability introduced via different chemicals, uptake rates, length of time applied (amount) applied, etc. would negate the advertised benefits. Unless the chemicals are highly buffered, there would seem to be little benefit, except that we can tell customers that we through on a neutralizing material. For the reasons above, I won't state to a customer.
