This shopping center was recently washed 9yrs ago. Between me and a helper we are tired of the sweet smell gum gives off when it's hit with 200 degrees.

I was planning to get to sleep early but now that before picture is going to keep me up!

There's a low end grocery chain here that just attracts trouble, any center that has one is going to be horrible - that looks like it might be the same kind of place.

I notice you clean in the opposite direction that I do - you a lefty?

Looks good. Nice to have that one behind you.

Nice work Ash! I'm sure they were happy. Big difference. :)

That looked pretty good for 9 years without a cleaning. i have seen alot worse after 1 year. I guess it all depends on the area, i noticed that the areas with check cashing and church's chicken, KFC's, and dollar stores seem to be the worst...

Did you reclaim ? If not where is your waste water, did you follow EPA GUIDE LINES ? I hope you did not use chems !

That is all a bunch of BS, as far as I'm concerned, when all you are cleaning is some chewing gum and foot traffic from sidewalks. I can understand reclaiming and filtering wash water from areas with contaminants such as anti-freeze and oil though.

looks like Brooklyn after a day and a half ! :D

Ash,

Looks great ! No etch marks that I can see from your photos. No stripping either. Presumed you used a surface cleaner first, them went back with a gun to get the gum up.

Did you use any chemicals as Russ suggested ?

For everyone else...I am sure Russ knows that you do not need any filters for removing a food product. He is just kidding.

Please note though.... if you was in Lake Tahoe or Concord California, a NEW law went into effect as of 1/08. " When using a pressurized wash water system, a basic filter must be used at all storm drains to catch all debris and washed material". The fine is $500.00 on up.

Fortunately, there is only TWO cities that I am away of that require this level of cleaning. However, more cities I am sure will follow due to the fines that the cities can impose for increased revenue.

To date, The State has estimated $130,000 to $180,000 in fines have been issued to pressure washers in N. California from 1/08 to 5/08, with garage cleaning, Gas Station Pads, Drive Thru's and garbage bin washing fines leading the way.

Those fines can be as high as $10,000 for the first offense, and in one case, reached as high as $300,000 back in 2001.

in reguards to the negative comments I made , I was kidding ! Ash and I play back and forth all the time so no more negative comments some dont know how to play well with others if the negative people would bother to look down a bit under what I posted it says "hahahahahaha" come on folks read all the post ! Or grow up !

I seen the joke right off the bat and yes follow the guides to the TTTTTT or else.

Looks nice from your pics and I bet they are throwing more gum down on your clean sidewalks as we speak :D and that means MONEY......

some did not , I got the craziest couple of emails

It looks great Ash! I got three fast food places to do tonight.. I hope mine comes out as good as your does...

I am scared... Very scared.

The work looks great.

Phoenix requires filtering of the water with a mat or something similar placed over the storm drain, if you are not using chems. If you are, you are supposed to recover.

And here is the copy of the BMP, for Rons sake. http://phoenix.gov/STREETS/pkggar.pdf
