Picked this up today...It belonged to a construction company that used it for one project a year ago..Thats the only thing it was used for..They sold it to me for $250.00:yes:
I also called steel eagle to find out about the orange color and they told me that is a series they run specifically for Alkota..

I bought one just like that from one of the guys off another bbs, found out when it got here the swivel was worn-out and wobbled like crazy and the spray bar was bent real bad so it sat for a while.

I just put another swivel on it, the Talon-2 that Steel Eagle makes along with a new spray bar, changed out the very thin pressure hose and put a 3/8" pressure hose and it runs great now! It is my favorite surface cleaner now.

What Steel Eagle told me that they made them for Alkota with the cheaper swivel that does not last that long, everything else is the same as the other Steel Eagle machines.

I have a Deublin on my Red Steel Eagle 24" surface cleaner and I have not done anything to that swivel in over 6 years, it is like the Energizer bunny, keeps going and going and going.

I just installed the Talon 2 swivel on that surface cleaner in the past few weeks and it is doing good, no problems and the spray bar is spinning fast.

I have heard from someone else that the Talon 2 swivel is not holding up under constant every nite workloads for long hours.

I have not put it to that kind of test so not sure about long term lifespan yet.

Just got word from the great people over at Pressure Washer Products that Whisper Wash came out with a better swivel than what they had, it is called "The Next Generation" swivel and I was told that it is a very good swivel.

I am looking into building a custom surface cleaner and if I do, I might give that new swivel a try and see how it holds up.

The 2 Whisper Wash swivels that Rex at Pressure Washer Products rebuilt for me before the Tampa Round Table last year are still holding up great using those new-high-tech bearings that he uses, he did a great job on those swivels. I was having them rebuilt about every 3 or 4 months but it has been over a year and couple months so far and everything is great!

Talon's are just like delevan's they are expendable and you need to keep a spare around if your using these pieces of equipment alot.

Used it for the first time today and it actually did pretty well!! Just gotta get that jumper hoses changed..

with that being said..The threads in the top of the swivel are 1/4'' threads, whats the best optioin when upsizing..without replacing the swivel??

I don't think the 1/4" opening would restrict it there, it is about to get squeezed through a 2 mm opening. You could get 3/8 hose with the 1/4" fitting
