You dont do awings? I can walk you thru this, they are easy....easier than you think.

I will be honest with you. I have never cleaned an awning this size. I have cleaned a few small ones that just had some mold and mildew on them. They came out great but this one has not been cleaned in probably 10 to 15 years and the pollution on it is unbelieveable. If you can walk me through it and give me an idea on price that would be great because I have no idea on what kind of time this would take. I tested a couple spots with chlorine and simple cherry and also a sodium hydroxide product and brushed it and it did nothing. It was color safe though. It is vinyl. I don't want to get into something with out proper knowledge of how to clean it!! I also don't see how it can be done properly without a lift. Just trying to be safe!! Let me know if you think you can help!!!! I just don't have much experience with awnings. Thanks Ron!!!!

I just saw this...One thing that turned me off was that I saw Neon Lights. I hate messing around near them. Spencer, you tried all that and it wouldn't clean up? Now I'm curious to see what would work. I didn't realize yours were vinyl... I do canvas ones all the time. I had a 2 story down on Treasure Isl that I did last week with Blue and White awnings on ALL the windows. SH and Dawn took care of them and they were pretty moldy.

Spencer,,, Just a thought. When you applied some sh and hydroxide did you try it straight or did you ds it?

Hopefully i will sell the lift truck as i dont need 2 tow vehicles, I dont use it much except for Walgreens Roofs, and we dropped that account last month.

I applied it straight and scrubbed it with a fairly stiff brush.

Never mind then... All of the Vinyl Roofs that I do I do with a very strong 12.5% and detergent and I apply it with low psi through my 12volt and they clean up nice. I figured it may work for the canopy as well... Maybe it is time for them to splurge on a new one.
