I have, but we got in trouble with the carting company one time. We pulled it out with a chain and busted off the door when the chain sliped off..

So now we tell them to call us when they get the dumpster out, but this time they put it back before we got there.

I will post a rig i use, its a nylon strap.

10-4 i would like to see it..Do you charge them extra if you have to pull it?

yes, small fee takes about 5 minutes. We will not pull them if the cans in a dangerous spot. ( blocking traffic as example)

one of the problems is tall cans, they can tip over.

Straps go around the can at the bottom. truck pull them out in reverse so they can watch the can if it catches on pavement.

is there a link to the picture? I dont see one?

Nick, if your refering to mine, No! Well actually yes, But it came out on the bottom. Don't know how that happened. How do you guys get them to come out side by side?( the pics) Mine always end up in row like that.

I was talking to ron, he was going to show me a picture of the straps?

I pull my pictures from my computer and thats how they post?

Nick, not at my shop til later. I will try to remind myself to take a picture.

Nick, I knwo you know this. How many times the dumpster where not moved?

Thats why i just tell my guys to pull them. I got tired of waiting to go back. easier to charge them the moving fee versus the trip.

Learn something every day. I don't do this kind of work hardly ever actually. I never had a clue that you would move dumpsters. Is this regularly done Ron & Nick

If you don't move them what do you do on monthly accounts, have them moved each month, what if its real bad weather and you cant do the job and they move the dum[pster and then would have to move it again

tell me more

Thanks
Jeff

You got two guys that know what they are doing.

I used the chains like Nick when I did them myself. I still might use chains if i was actually pulling them. The chain jerks the can, often the nylon strap can sling shot the can if the can is sticking to the pavement.

The nylon for my help is safer, no worrie about someone being killed by a broken chain. Dont get me wrong its not that chains are not safe. But when you involve and employee they get sloppy. Hook stuff up wrong, change technics.

Dustin, I don't think thats gonna happen. All are designed with Arm lifts on the side of the dumpster. Very few are up on legs and even if you could get one under it and lift it it would more than likely be way to heavy to pull and push by hand especially if your dealing with a full dumpster...

WOW! Nice job Dustin...Looks like you may be winning this contest with that one. I there a contest??? I was hoping to win something... I never win anything! LOL
