I really do not care about this association, hope the new guys that need postcards an a book join it. If thats what helps them I'm all for someone getting help.
You see thats all PWI does is help people, it helped you. It brought a pressure washing crowd to your BBS, you sold them a bunch of stuff an made a little money.
Good luck with your partnership with Thad, partnerships are tough. My daddy told me never have a partner if you didn't need one. I ve kept his advice true an never took one on, even early on when it was tough an cash was low.

Ron, I sent you a PM but it appears the quote function problem isn't limited to forum posts. When I clicked submit it disappeared. It wasn't in my sent folder and when I hit the back button, the message (in html) would appear for about 2 seconds and then disappear showing a blank message window.
I don't feel like retyping the whole thing...call me if you want.

When Mike asked me to come on the board I agreed to do it if my only task was to create a real benefits package for the contractor members. This was also discussed on the initial bod conference calls that I participated in. Then other matters like Carlos selling the UAMCC came up and all of that was pushed aside.
I had asked Chris to do something like the WCRA for pressure washers before that but he was too busy with the WCRA. It wasn't until February of this year that I was able to talk him into it. As far as the url is concerned he bought just about every "*cleaningresource.com" url imaginable when he started wcr. The forum was built this month.
We're trying to do something good here, something to help guys who want to work to get that work.
I would think that would be something you are in favor of. I think you will be once you take a good look at it.

Ron used to love me! Until I repeatedly turned down his advances to push phony certifications on my people..
Chris, from all the quotes you have posted it looks like Ron put a lot if effort to help you promote what you have been selling to contractors.
How much did he charge you for that promotion?
I have never in my live seen any people like yourself, the guys on the PW$A BOD, Celeste, and others who have so little loyalty and thankfulness they take help and promotion when they are in need only to look for anyway out of the relationship when they are no longer in need.
I guess that is the American way. But It's not my way. I say good riddance to the lot I of you including Little Ron (Thad) and his whining hypocritical stance about Ron being a vendor.
I am just glad I never lifted a finger to help any of you people.

Pretty much the subject of my PM to Ron....that disappeared. Ron gets sucked into this sort of stuff because he want's to believe in a world where everyone has an honest interest in promoting the industry. With all the time/energy/membership's driven to the Org's, associations and other forums by Ron, he could have built a real By/For contractor Org from scratch.
While I'm more of a skeptical type.....Ron is a believer and no matter how many times he traces the breadcrumbs of a bad relationship decision backwards, he doesn't seem to pick up on the repeating pattern. To some...Ron and PWI is just a business incubator, a launching point, a tool for membership drives.

For years we worked in our previous business mostly alone. We built the largest dry clean delivery business in Las Vegas without any input from any forums or anywhere else. We built it by trial and error.
When we started there were only three of us in the city and the other two were failing part timers.
We would get at least one call a month from guys who wanted to start up businesses like ours or guys who had just bought a franchise and weren't getting any support.
We helped them all. None of them ever came close to being real competition to us, but we helped many of them become profitable and even shared our resources (discounted volume dry cleaning plants) with at least 6 of them and picked up work side by side with them for years watching as their kids were born and grew.
We never asked them for anything for that. If I had taken them out in the field and taken time out of my own work to help them I may have very well charged them something. But it wasn't that kind of help so I was glad to give it for free and watch them grow.
None of them EVER treated my and Shelly the way these guys we taught to do coils and filters have treated us. None of them EVER turned on us the way these jerks have turned on Ron. It is unfathomable and I just can't understand it.
We never benefited much from our helping the other dry clean guys. However, there came a point where we needed a loan expand and needed to show another $5k in income per month to pay it back in a timely manner. One of the guys I helped called and said he wanted to than me for all the time I spent on the phone helping him. He had bought a franchise and they rarely returned his calls and he had tried to call a couple of our competitors who told him to take a flying leap. He said the franchise agreement made his overhead so high he could never make a profit. He had about $6k in net business per month, but his over head was near that.
He called to tell me he was going bankrupt and he wanted to GIVE me all his customers. He wouldn't take a dime for them and spent two weeks going around introducing us to them to ensure loyalty. Since they already fit in our route our net was going to be around $5 k. Exactly WHAT we needed, Exactly WHEN we needed it.
Ron, keep your head up brother. There is someone looking out for your that couldn't care less about these users and how they've treated you. He has been watching and he will take care of you.

That was one of the most UNMANLY and candyazz things I have seen on the bbs's, lie about someone then get them banned. Wow.
I hope the little ego is proud of itself now.
Instead of being a man and handling things like a man would, the candyazz thing is done and gets a working man banned from a thread that was going good until a couple of guys wanted to crap all over the thread, uncalled for, not professional and to be honest, cowardly. Tony I think you are an intelligent guy and I respect your posts. But you need to keep something in mind:
1) I never ever asked for Rons help with anything. Did I appreciate the publicity he gave me? Yea sure how could I not. Did I ask for it ever? NO
2) Rons "gifts" do not come with out a price. Ron launched a smear campaign against me and my company in several internet forums last month. He claimed it was over a post being deleted on WCR (how absurd is that?) In actuality it was because I simply would not let him into my world. I wouldn't participate in his phony certificate programs and push that crap on the people in my world. When he was finally called out after days of him dragging it out, he caved in and tried to claim it was an April fools joke. (April 4th)
I have no time for that kind of BS in my life. Im sure Ron has done a lot of great things for a lot of people. Thats great, thats very nice of him. I simply dont have time for "jokes" or daily phone calls about nothing. I find the man tremendously annoying.
This is Rons board and I have made it a point not to post here, but I posted yesterday to respond to my "expert forum". I have made several requests to be removed from that, maybe this public one will make it happen.

Thanks for your response Chris. I don't always agree with Ron. I cleaned my first coils age 12 and have run this business since 03 or 04. Ron asked me to write cert tests for the Uamcc. I think I am qualified. I cant imagine Ron would try to offer some kind of fake certs. My test is 150 questions just on technical not including safety and other sections.

I don't wash windows so it really doesn't make a difference to me either way, but I will say I never heard of WCR, the forum, or the org until it showed up on PWI and Ron promoted it at events across the country (Tampa, Charleston). I guess that wasn't appreciated, but it happened. I don't know about the smear campaign so if that's true I definitely don't defend anyone doing that either. Just a shame that is always has to come down to someone versus someone, Thad/Chris vs Ron or Doug vs John or whatever the latest feud is.
