You are wrong. Whatever foamer you have and however you have used it was wrong. If you use them right, with enough foaming agent, any pumps sprayer or chemical can not hold a candle to it.

I stand corrected - however we have the Foamer 5 with 9 SCFM compressor and all the paraphenalia that goes with it. Hoses, extra hoses, electric cord, etc. We did not get the Morgan foamer - it's cheap enough at $7.00 a gal but shipping costs 105.00, which brings our cost to $17.50 a gallon for 10 gallons foamer. I did a search and found you singing the praises of Bonzi a couple of years ago. You said it was however expensive. I don't know if it would cost us $17.50 a gallon, maybe. The bonzi sticks to the grease - so does the caustic foam. You only need a sprayer, pump-up or flojet, to apply. Seems simple enough. You are the only one who has experience using both systems. Figure the chemical plus the morgan foamer with shipping will run at about $18 - $19 a gallon plus the utensils. Is it that much better, faster, more thorough, easier than the bonzi type application?You tell me. If it is I'm game.
 
You dont have to use the Morgan Gallacher stuff, there are plenty of other foaming agents out there and foaming chemicals. I dont know how much you want to spend but Zep makes a chemical called Super Doug that we have had good results with. There has to be a chemical supplier near you that can help you with a foaming agent. It it wasnt for Morgan Gallacher (and Mirza and even Flue Steam!) we would still be using cannister sprayers.

Bonzi is probobly the best degreaser on the market and yes it sticks very well, but it does not stay wet like the foam does and everybody knows that chem stops working when it dries. The foam litteraly works as long as it is on the surface.

As far as ease of application, sure its easier to fill a pump spray and just apply it and yes it takes longer to set up the foamer but I think the benefits outweigh the extra time and supplies that are needed.

What if Dawn could bring the same results as far as foaming goes? You could prolly go to Sam's Club or whatever and get 5 Gallon buckets of Dawn at $?? per gallon. I've actually had some good foam using it, and Jason is using nothing but Dawn down in Puerto Rico becuase of the price of shipping. I don't know, just food for thought :)

Poke me with a fork, I'm done. I will check out some area chem suppliers for casutic foamers chems. We do use Super Doug for special jobs never thought to use it in the foamer. Are you saying that Mirza doesn't use the soda cans anymore?

Ok the homemade pump up foamer works pretty good .. I stopped using dawn and started using AJAX dish Soap... Believe it or not Ajax foams better.. Hot caustic mix and Ajax in a foam pump up sprayer is the way to go.. On Chinese I mix 2 cups of caustic bead , Hot water , and almost half a bottle of Ajax Dishwashing soap.. If you dont have a foaming pump up sprayer it is easy to make one .. Take the siphon tube out of your pump up sprayer and poke a pin hole at the top of it to allow air to get into the mix.. It will foam but you got to really pump it up.. Or you could take a 5 gallon bucket with air hose from a s,all compreesor run into it at the top and then run the hose into the solution with a pin hole in the hose at the top of the bucket to introduce air into the line and then use a hose coming out of Bucket top with a nozzle .. But it is mor complicated..
 
John, I too use Ajax (Antibacterial), it works so much better than Dawn. It seems to hold it's own when mixed with the SH / PH mixture were Dawn seemed to thin out.
