There really shouldn't be an issue. IKECA, Phil Ackland et al have been assigned the task of writing the standards for our industry by default, nobody has ever challenged them. We are simply self appointing ourselves as the enforcement arm for these standards, the same way these others bodies have appointed themselves the legislators.

Why we are being challenged as to our "authority" is what truly vexes me. Why would anyone oppose a group of individuals that has agreed to take on this challenge?

We don't have any authority yet, just like Phil Ackland had no authority when he started writing our standards. But with diligence and perseverance, one day we will be held in the same light as those who are laying down our laws.
 
this man claims he helped form tgp. keeping that in mind I think the post should stand to show the unprofessionalism talk by it members who formed tgp.

you guys want critize all others but when asked to display answers you run and make silly coments as if we were in highschool.

I'll give you a chance to call this former out and tell the grease world this is not a real forming member but maybe just griz.
 
I could say the same things about other organizations. I have folders full of pictures of work done by certified members of different organizations that prove that they are unprofessional, by the true definition of professionalism (characterized by or conforming to the technical or ethical standards of a profession).

Speaking out in an unprofessional manner, or distributing traits that would be considered "unprofessional" outside of the duties that you are required to perform, to me, pale in comparison to unethical actions in your trade.

Which man claims to have helped form TGP??

No one is running from any questions that I know of.

Mr. Redbery, your customers are watching. I have freinds from the national rest assoc. that tune in regular. Mr. Berrie is the regional purchasing agent for a large chain in your area. actually he is VP of essential service witch hires and gives large contracts for this chain.

So you cna keep dancing with Ed or debate some of the problems folks have with the ideals of TGP.

I am gonna step in and say to Roger , Idont believe that Ron ment this as a threat , in my oponion he was simply stating that many national chains step in and look around in a regular basis , I know this is true because we just recently added a 575 store National account that came from this board , I dont feel I would have been called if I had shown any negativity in the post they had looked at , as far as my post I still stand firm , If name calling starts I will stop it , this is the warning to all before it gets out of hand , I personally will not tolerate the bashing of any orginazation or individual here , I dont mind a good discussion or a strong oponion , but there will be no more vulger words or name calling ...... it stops here , I will be back tonight so lets see how you folks do while I am gone

I do not think you see this very clearly.

I spent 5 years busting my arse in the KEC field learning, and sharing, what I've learned here at PWI. Most of my efforts here at PWI have been defending CHDCA and Rusty when they were being torn apart and ridiculed by others here that just didn't believe what he was doing was legit.

PWI was where most of the founders of TGP met. PWI was a main reason for forming a KEC only forum. It was the efforts of good contributing members of TGP that helped form our new association.

Some of the guys that remain here are, for the most part, professional veterans of our industry. I will not argue with that. But there are many professional veterans that have joined TGP as well. No one has been forced to stop posting here at PWI. Many have chosen productivity over conflict, and choose to share with confidence at TGP instead of fearing ridicule at PWI.

I will never forget that I started my KEC networking here at PWI. That is why I am still here.

It is not logical for me to cut and paste all the info posted on installing access panels from TGP and post it here. I was informing all that there is good info at TGP on installing access panels.

To avoid confrentation, I did not post any direct comment to Ed's post. But I will say this, you can make excuses all day about why a system can not be cleaned properly, why it is not your job to make it accessible, it is just your job to clean it. This may have been the mentlity for years past, but this is changing. There are many tools and supplies available to make systems accessible, whether it is the cleaning company or an HVAC company, access panels make systems cleanable, and should be installed according to NFPA 96. Whether by a HVAC tech or a KEC tech, someone needs to install them, and the KEC needs to clean them.
 
I think we need a big ole party... Select a central location in the USA and Get some crawfish, shrimp and whatever else and maybe a good band .. Then have a party... I remember years ago in the mid 90's alot of the competitors in the fire equipment business and hood cleaning business would get together for a party and we would have contest like hose rolling , And who could recharge an extinguisher faster... just all kind of stuff...We haven't done this in years..

I have a customer that saw some of my pictures on the internet and some statements I made on this board.. They searched my name and my compnies name on google and alot of my post show up on google form this board..

ANYWAY WE NEED A BIG PARTY SO EVERYONE CAN MEET IN PERSON,, hey I am sure we are all great bunch of guys and gals... It takes special people to do what we do day in and day out.... Well go to leave Benton Today , heading back to Jackson and the to Hattiesburg Tonight ..... Yall Be Cool ..

as you will find out one man does not represent pwi nor will one man represent tgp if it gets larger.

you thru ed out because he may not believe in your picture of grease. that a decsion made and gone. or ed chose not to be there.

I have no proplem with you or rusty. rusty may become and expert on pwi just for your info. so you know rusty and I have had a good relations since the day he showed up here.

Josh at one point I thought we had a mitual respect for each other. what happened to our friendship.

you guys constantly talk about pwi this and pwi that. you have a voice and you could have used it.

so many years in pain, WHY not say something sooner. for almost two years the bbs went without anyone.

oh well, truly good luck to ya.

please, expect that methods will always be questioned here a the best ones will survive. that's pwi and the freedom you have.

Clean up this post.It clear that you have an axe to grind with someone,but doing it in this manner is not something Russ will tolerate.
