The bronze wool just took off the contaminates on the glass and made the water flow better. Which could be sillycone, chalk bleed , glass cleaner left on , any type of oily film. Been using bronze wool for years instead of steel for removing debris ( no rust ).

I've used bronze wool for spot cleaning. I'm going to try out what he's talking about, though.
