Chem Injector Trouble

Hello Everybody

Just bought the adjustable downstream injector from Delco. I used it once and then ran water through it after use. I went to use it over the weekend and can't get a drop through it. Checked for air leaks, but couldn't find any. Any thoughts on how I can remedy the situation?

GO ANGELS!

All help is appreciated

Thanks

Ron

when you say

you used it, what chem did you use.
Soap or acid?
Acid you must use a ceramic ball or it will etch a ring into the metal ball and it's done for.
You can take them apart just be carefull not to loose the little spring. They also have rebuild kits.

Hi Gentlemen

I will try removing the tubing. I used an alkaline degreaser. Gave it a good rinse, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks for the advice

Ron

Ron,

I too am going through the same thing! I have been using a quik-connect downstream injector...until it stopped working yesterday. I installed an injector in-line, and it too didn't work.

The qc failed due to corrosion on the spring/ball. The in-line failed due to a part inside, a plastic washer-like-thing-a-ma-jig, becoming loose. (I never realized that there are any parts inside.) I have also had the ball bearing in the check valve on the siphon-end of the pick-up tube corrode shut.

I hope that my suffering can help you! ;)

GO BIG RED!

Hey Ron

Still couldn't get the darn thing to work. Have been using my pump up sprayer and upstream injector.

Was lucky enough to go to World Series games 2,6, and 7!! Took some time off yesterday to go down and watch the ceremonyat Edison Field. What an experience! Any baseball fan has got to appreciate the hard work these guys have put out. So many come from behind victories! 15th in payroll.

Take care

Ditch your downstream and buy an x-jet.I have bought many injetors before, now i have x-jet.I paid more for the ones that dont work then i ended up paying for x-jet.It workes great, better then anything else.Use it for homes, decks, anything
