cleaning dyed concrete Pressure Wash?

what's the best way to clean dyed concrete? I have a customer that has a sidewalk dyed red. I started to hit it with hot water but it was taking the dye out.

My inlaws have a big area of red dyed crete. and i used a SC with 40's and it left a pool of red powdery water along with overlap stripes and didnt look good at all. i still get teased aboult it. Ive done a few other ones but this red one was the worst. I dont like to do it, you would have to wand it i guess but..... good luck
 
Did the same thing to my inlaws, had to wand it with low pressure. Even still, black dye run-off everywhere.
 
WHY does no one realize that this is a GOLDEN upsell opportunity! Color applied to concrete has to be SEALED to protect it from the same UV that damages anything with color! If the color is washing off when you are washing - it needs to be SEALED!!!

That will happen with concrete thats dyed, not much you can do. Sealing it after cleaning will preserve it but most likley they where saying money by dying and wont pay for seal.

I agree Celeste, they are ready for an up sell. Just tell them you will clean it but the color is coming off. You can't do anything about the contractor before you that should have sealed it.

This is exactly why I like the Wakefield sealers, they can be colored so that this never happens.

Everyone does pressure washing of concrete but you very rarely attempt to sell a sealing also. You are leaving a lot of money on the table.

How about the salt from the chlorine on the pool decks? Have you thought about sealing those?

How about Cultured Stone? Or if you have a bad piece of concrete that needs to be covered but it already has a penetrating sealer in it? You have two options grinding or getting the TC one that will cover and stick. You can make it any color you want.

Lots and lots of money being left and it is all water based with no voc's and you can apply it with a delevan or similar setup.
