Custom surface cleaner parts

Found a machine shop with a very cool owner to fabricate some parts - center pieces and 'elbows' for the nozzles. I had the mosmatic with the screw in bars which are metric sized and brass elbows - they come plated and look like steel, the person at mosmatic told me they were stainless and I laughed. The brass wears so fast its ridiculous and the bars snap at the threads. I am using 1/4" stainless sched 40 which is quite a bit more beefy than the metric bars were. If I need more strength I can go to sched 80 or 316 stainless, both a bit more money. The bars are too low to fit a regular stainless elbow, will probably use them on next spinner. Elbows are 3/4" stainless bar drilled for 1/4" pipe and tapped for 1/8" nozzles on the side.

That sweet. those came out better than mine did. but are they as heavy as they look?
Will they weight affect the speed the bar spins? mine were real heavy and it wouldnt spin fast enough (20" SC @ *gpm)

The centers are heavier than the original which is on the left of the 4 in the picture, but I don't think that will affect the speed, being in the middle, I think it will smooth it out if anything. The 'elbows' feel just a little heavier than the stock mosmatic ones, so I don't know what difference it will make, I do run about 10 gpm. What about an elbow like this, do any surface cleaners use these type?

Just in case Tom You can take the lathe and score some slots around the outside to makem a lil lighter. just dont go too deep or they will break off if you hit somthin big/heavy.
