If you notice, on Greg's board he uses this function differently, and whenever you open a thread you can see who else is in that forum. For instance, it would be like below:

Pressure washing institute>Fun Forums>Mindless Blabbering>
(viewing forum: Jon Fife, Ron Musgraves, etc)

That way you always know who is viewing. Nice if you are bantering back and forth with someone in your posts.
