Dove Hunt

870 is the best gun ever. I used to dove hunt but got infected with the disease of chasing ducks. Don't even want to think about how many of those feathery things I killed. got into goose hunting and have a BPS 10 ga for that with 30 in barrel. Thats always fun to shoot.
 
I haven't hunted since they installed the titanium in my neck(about 5yrs now).I had just about given up on bird and rifle hunting deer because I found bow hunting to be so much more enjoyable and challenging.
I've been looking at new PSE bows and dropping hints to the wife that I want a new one.Old faithful(PSE Carrol Intruder II) blew apart in the case shedding the harness and string.Not sure it's worth repairing since it's 12 yrs old now and the limbs may have warped when it let go.
In my bow hunting prime I shot an average of 100 arrows daily.Some of that was therapy to destress at days end and the rest was my desire to be able to fit 5 arrows in a deers eye at 45 yards.

Sitting in front of the computer trying to relax and now i have to go put on my boots because it is getting deep in here!!!:) :)

Hahahahahaah.......You just wish you could turn deer into pin cushions like I used.
I only want a new bow to target shoot with.Our farm doesn't show any deer sign and I am not hunting hogs with a bow.I learned that lesson the hard way.

They don't get too much bigger than that on on public land down here. The average age of bucks taken on public land in Florida is 1 1/2 to 2 years old. It is very sad that they do not have better game management down here!! They need to at least have a 2 on one side rule. Right now it is 5 inches.
 
I have a 870 folding stock and a Browning Citori over under trap gun-nice set up for trap. I just shot trap - great fun. Once fall kicks in I will shot more often.
 
Spencer, I love the Blast ~n~ Cast. Ducks in the morning and Redfish during the day.
The Local KofC have a fundraiser every year and the raffle off over 30 long guns. Tickets are 25.00 ea. So I bought one a couple days before the event. Then I went to the coast to fish. We had a great trip and hammered the trout and Redfish. My wife called me on my way back and said I had won a shotgun. Sweet. I won a Benelli Nova 12ga. 2 yrs ago took it on a Pheasant Hunt in Lubbock and first bird up I knocked that beggar down. Never even fired a round thru it before that.

Went Dove hunting saturday and decided to use my 20ga for a change. Man I suck, I need to practice some. Only got a couple birds.
 
rather take my son Bear hunting in NC. We go every year around Thanksgiving. But the Duck hunting combo fishing trip sound like fun.

What is really bad is when you go with someone who can shoot. I am a decent shot but I have been embarassed before. It is all about going out and going thru a case of shells. Season dosen't open up until October 4 down here.
