I looked online. It looks like you can only get SUPER CLEAN in the spray bottle or 1 gal. Is it worth it to buy the 1 gal and clean drive throughs with it? I usually buy concentrate in 5 gal buckets, but have been looking for something more affordable.I purchased a cleaner/degreaser called SUPER CLEAN. It has butoxyrthanol, sodium hydroxide, sodium metasilcate and other stuff. Walmart and auto part stores have it.
Not yet, I'll try that. Did you try the stencil yet? Post a video when you do.Mike,
Did you look in the phone book for Chemicals or See if Univar has a location near you. Where I live it is not hard to find. I have 3 places that stock it and there probably more places than that.
Good Luck
Joe, you're talking about the Super Clean? Did you use it diluted? How long did it last you?i bought one @ HD one day i ran out. it was in a 5er and had meta sil. in it worked good but with the hot water steam burned the throat and had a sore throat for a few days.
Hello Russ S,
We use a sodium metasilicate based degreaser on petroleum-based oil spots/stains and potassium hydroxide based degreaser on animal or vegetable type oil and grease spots/stains.
We pre-treat the heavy areas with the degreaser using a canister type air sprayer. We go over all of the area with a surface cleaner and then chase all of that with a wand to get any gum and sweep the trash. We use dual #4 or 5 tips in the surface cleaner and a 1508 or 1510 tip in the wand. We try to maintain 180 to 200-degree water temperature at 3000 psi.

Matt, how's the Hotsy Ripper 2 working for you? I use Ripper 1 now, but it's $49 for 5 gallons. Have you tried the ripper 2 on heavy restaurant grease at the grease trap and dumpsters? What does your dealer charge for it? Mine here is $57 for 5 gal. I was thinking about trying it just for the dumpster pads.Exactly what chems are sodium metasilicate based? The degreaser we're using is Hotsy's Ripper 2 which is sodium hydroxide based. We're looking for an alternative for petroleum-based oil spots/stains. Thanks for the help.

I'm also going to try the caustic beads sometime.
Not a flat worker here, so I don't know about what it will do on flat work. BUT !!!! Raw caustics are very hazardous. PPE and proper procedures are a must. There are a few guys on here than can attest to that first hand. Good Luck and be safeI would like to try caustic beads. I need more information on how to use and what they are best used for. I know we have pro's that could share and will share some info with us. I need to brighten concrete. Hopefully erase uneveness left by surface cleaner.
Chris I use ripper as well...is their much difference (cleaning ability) on ripper 2 and how much is 30/50 gallons ..I pay 8.50 for 1 gallonWhen you buy the Ripper 2 by the 30 or 55 gallon drum the price per gallon drops, ask for the contractor pricing, sometimes they forget or try not to give it to you.
Wow. $850 a gallon. .....wow.
The Hotsy dealer said the Ripper 1 is a heavy degreaser, but the Ripper 2 is part Caustic. Ripper 3 he won't even carry any longer because of miss use and the danger factor.Chris I use ripper as well...is their much difference (cleaning ability) on ripper 2 and how much is 30/50 gallons ..I pay 8.50 for 1 gallon
