Dwell time question

Anyone use caustic beads on surface cleaning, at least on parking lots. I am wondering what kind of dwell times you all use.

Max_Rob,
When using the caustic beads do you collect your run off water?

Seems like there would be a liability issue. Burns, stream or creek contamination, ect.

yeah, i do. I have a vacum boom for reclaiming. It allows me to use more agressive soaps, and without the liability.

I would also like to point out that although caustic is some harsh stuff, most oven cleaners and commercial grade floor soaps, degreasers all have caustic in them as the main ingredient.

Is that asphalt parking lots? Its my understanding that caustics are murder on asphalt.........

Rob_Max,
After you collect the run off where do you discharge? Are the results worth the hassles?

Hope you get some response on the beads. I tried getting some info on sodium hydroxide blending several months ago. No responses!

no mike it's not onasfault. That is awhole other mess to deal with.

I take the tank of bad water to the water treatment center.
