Hi,

I've done a few driveways now, and they have come out pretty good, but when I went to do mine a few small areas became extremely light...as if they had been cleaned much more than the rest. I'm not sure if it's the original colour, or some kind of reaction from oil or something??? The shapes are irregular, anybody know why this is happening or what it is?

thanks

Sorry, I can't help on your concrete question. One thing that is helpful when you bring up a question about a certain problem is to post a picture of what you have found. If your budget allows, invest in a digital camera. Guys here have a much easier time answering a specific question like this with a picture.

How did you clean it? Surface cleaner, wand only, roto nizzle ect. and what cleaners did you use if any

the area's your talking about, more then likely have had a silicon based substance spilled on it.
In driveway's it would be break fluid or tire dressing.
Spray some armour all on one little section and let it sit overnight and see if it look's the same as your talking about.
You only see it when it's wet, right?

Dear Edmonton Washer,

Ron p said it. It may be that someone in your family cleaned their tires with a tire cleaner/shiner.The chemical leaves a bright spot on concrete when wet. The same thing happened on my driveway. I have not addressed the issue yet.
