Flatwork wash down

I picked up a contract of about 20 drug stores in my area, i gave them a price for the sidewalks and they were fine with it, i clean the sidewalks and the receiving areas with a 20" surface spinner the sidewalks come out nice but when im done the whole parking lot has real fine white concrete dust all over it, and it doesent move real easily with my pressure washer, so now i have too go around and basicaly power wash the whole parking lot too and its taking just as much time as the sidewalks and killing my profits. does anyone have any suggestions on either why this is happening and what can i do to stop it or make it easier to clean up??? thank you

What chemicals did you use, a caustic can leave a white residue after it dries if it is not neutralized. Is it possible to keep the water off the parking lot?

damage/HEY JON

as i posted on Delco's site, if it is concrete dust you are damageing it big time.
How old is the cement?
Your wearing the CREAM off the top.
Soon the stones in the cement will show, and you will get sued.
You need chem. and less pressure[bigger tips on the surface cleaner and/or less/no heat].
If it is chem getting on the blacktop then thats diffrent but you did say "dust".
if the cement is less then 3 months then you def. are doing it damage.
JON You do a lot more flatwork then I. What do you think?

I seldom use chemicals on sidewalks, hot water (180°, not 200°)and as John mentioned less pressure meaning change your tips on the surface cleaner.

If you want to use a soap, not degreaser but a soap cut it far more then it would say and test, adding till it cleans without removing any of the concrete.

Sorry I cannot recommend a brand since as I said I don't use it, I do use chemicals in dumpster pads and the rear of restaurants.

Can you take pictures of that concrete and post here?
