Free software

I can't believe I just thought of this. Some of you may already know about this program, but some might not. As said in Ron's classroom, he advises we get ACT or Goldmine software and some may not be able to afford it. I really don't know what it costs. But...
It may be available for FREE at a site called IMESH.

You download the free program (hope you have dsl or cable modems) and after you install it you can search for anything you want. In this case software. Now, I can't guarantee it will be there or if it will work properly, but I am using an upgraded operating system I downloaded there for free. And also using a lot of high priced programs I downloaded for free also. Give it a try, it can't hurt, and it's FREE!!!

The problem with it is that you are giving other people access to your computer. You might want to be aware of that.

Another problem with P2P software like this is that they load "spyware" onto your machine that tracks and reports your usage back to a central server. Where it can be used for any number of reasons.

While most likely, it's just used for marketing, you don't really know. Any number of programs have the ability to record virtually anything you do on your computer - including recording individual keystrokes.

I don't load it onto any machine that I use for things like online banking, credit cards, or anything else that I would prefer not to share with the whole world.

You can read up on the program at the the following link:

After joining Ron`s shopping center series, I went shopping for ACT. Kind of expensive. I did a search on the internet for discount software. I ended up finding for $13 (plus s/h). Now you only get the CD, no manual no box no nothing. And granted, it is last years version but for a total of $17, I could`nt resist. It`s been a wonderful productivity tool thus far. As far as the manual goes, it`s on the CD. So I just printed it from there.

Try doing a search on GOOGLE for "Discount Software". There are other websites, so you may want to shop around.

Oh, by the way. It wasn`t last years version (2001), it was 2000. Sorry for the mis-information. It will still get you up and running. I guess it doesn`t have all the bells and whistles of 2002, but hey, if your on a budget, $17 isn`t so bad.
