Gallons of sauce to roof footage ratio?

Like you said, there are many variables but, If these ratios are for shingle roofs, I'd say they are pretty close. I would have to say add another 10-15 gallons maximum to each scenario. These ratios are assuming just enough hitting the surface with minimal runoff, which is ideal in my opinion.

It really has a lot to do with Pitch, roof type, how dirty, temperature, Sun, Wind, etc.
And, how patient you are ?
The weak shingle roof cleaning solutions we use take a little longer to work.
It is a sure sign of inexperience to keep spraying a spot over and over, waiting for it to instantly clean.

Hey Chris, what ive noticed is that when I get doen spraying a roof, there are always a few spots that are dry that never clean. I used to think that I just missed them, so I started paying better attention, and i realized that either it dried quickly or the algae was soaking it up, so now I go back and touch those spots up immediatly. I didnt do it a couple of times and even after 30 minutes the spots were still there like they hadnt been touched. The rest of the roof that stays wet is always clean. Does that sound normal?

Scott, it IS Normal to touch up a few spots.
IF you have to touch up more then 25 percent, the mix was too weak.
If there are NO touch ups, you were on the strong side of the mix.
Remember, what goes up will come down.
the weaker you can use the mix and still clean, the better for the roof and landscape.
Contrary to what you may THINK,. strong chemical solutions WILL harm a shingle roof.
I have been at this 15 plus years, and have returned to roofs done with Strong solutions.
Granule loss like a muther funker.

Id say that 20-25% touch up is about right. A couple of times we've had to remist the whole roof!! Not a good feeling when you go to lunch and come back expecting to only need to take an after picture and have to pull all of the equipment back out!! having the right mixture is very very important.

Same here, some I have used 40 gallons of mix and others I have used 100 gallons of mix.
After years and years you will be better at judging how much but still, sometimes you just never know.
You always bring enough just in case so if something happens, you don't run out on a job.
