Get your House pressure washed $60 - $60 (San antonio)

I was talking to an old neighbor from my old neighborhood down the street and he says he's getting 4-5 fliers a week for PWing and the prices keep coming down. Theres a guy doing homes (1500-2500sq ft) for $50 and if you get a neighbor he will charge only $40 each. Driveways for $10........Yup you read it right. These driveways you can fit 4 cars..........what a shame its going to be a long time before prices get back up, people are going to expect this crap

I say we shoot these fools in the head with a 0 tip

Wow, I thought it was bad here. A guy recently told me someone did his two story 3500 sq. ft house for $100. This is also the most expensive place in the US to live and do business.

I got a guy wanting me to wash 16x80 mobile homes for $50.00 each once a year.. including the windows and roofs.. 14 of them per year... Also he wants me to tarp all plants.. he also wants me to carry 2 millon liability instead of 1.5 that I have and include workmans comp on myself..WTF>>> thats what I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT >>>>

I have been hired to do house washes for several hundred dollars that were done by 100 dollar type house washers previously. When I do my estimates I point out the cut up screens and damaged siding and let the HO know that with me that get what they pay for. (Excellent results and no damage) What they save with the cheap guy they can put towards new screens and wall repairs. I do a great job, collect my check and move on to the next one.

The problem I see is these guys hurt our industry, give pressure washing a bad name. some just looking for price its their fault too, but some people just dont know, so it takes work from all. I wish we could go Hack Hunting

Truth be told(IMO), alot of customers are looking for the lowballers.
Education is key, even so, some shop on price alone, and that is the customer I don't want. Quality comes first. and it cost' alot more than 60.00 bucks.

Hack Hunting, where's Ted and his bow!!!!

i wont get out of bed for $50. its ridicolous. but its happening more and more. especially here in south florida.

One of my stops to drop off flyers etc... Is a hotel right next to my shop. I've been in there 3 times in the past 5 months to drop off a letter, flyer and a card to have the GM call me about cleaning the 2 bldgs they have. They are nasty. Today I see a 24 ft ladder up against the wall of the 30 ft bldg. 4 guys and 2 pw'ers and they were climbing up the ladder with a 3ft wand while 1 guy held the ladder. I hope they get what they paid for...

Oh they will.... Hahaha I Lost A hood cleaning account last year to a lowballer... And guess what.. the lowballer did not have a ladder tall enought to get on the roof and clean the fan... Well here we are one year later and the fan burnt up.. The reason given was that it was not being cleaned properly.. They just called me back I have to clean it Monday ... This time I am making an extra 150.00 on the deal... Live and Learn ... The funny part is that the building is only 2 stories.... I can reach the top with my 30 foot alum ladder easy... Lowballers do not make enough to afford the right equipment to do the job... Remember this !!!!!

Jeff, I totally agree with you. I just try to not let it affect the way I do business. Washing is the easy part. The hard part is getting the the customer educated enough to choose the right contractor to do the job (That's me of course). Win some lose some. I try not to let it bother me too much.
