Grocery Store Register Tape Advertising

Anyone done it? Probably get a lot of tire kickers and price shoppers but I know I look at the advertising on the back. It says that it gets "50,000 views a month".

Anyone know about the rates or had any success with it? I kinda lump this type of advertising into the ValPak and Craigslist garbage but had not thought of it until picking up some adult beverages this evening at Kroger. ;)
 
I do like Russ .. Every Month or so we send out flyers to the local Restaurants, Nite Clubs, Sports Bars, and Hospitols. We advertize on an 8x11 Glossy sheet with photos of our work.. We also give a FREE new customer inspection of the fire equipment and suppression system with a new first hood cleaning contract... We have a list on our flyers of refrences and we usually send out 32 in Ridgeland, 120 in Jackson , and 100 random thru out the state... This coming up new year we are planning to be fully uniformed .. Hats, Shirts and pants with the shirts showing our LOGO and Phone number.. It is going to be a better year at B&R in 2008.. Hey Russ when you fax a customer do you get any call backs .. I thought of trying this but I dont know if people would read it or just throw it away ... Of course I guess they could just as easily throw awy the letter, and by faxing it would save me 39 cents on a stamp.. Might try the fax thing >>>>

no not often but I have only beendoing it for a few months , but when I did they were big accounts , that is what we target on the faxes ... mainly larger flatwork jobs and buildings at multiple locations or hotles, condos, townhomes ect....... The main thing is to keep your name in fronyt of them where they will remember you ..... remember "the squeeky wheel gets the grease"
