Hazmat certifacation

Anyone have the 40 hour Hazmat certifaction?

If so I have a job I can refer you to here in So. Calif.

This job is decontamination of equipment.

Please call or Email me ASAP if you're interested and have the permit.

I was told I could not even enter the grounds without this permit which brings up the question of what is this permit and how does one go about getting it?
 
Been there, done that, but I do not have the permit anymore. It sounds like it could be a high revenue job, though.
As for the training, sometimes the local community College will provide it. You can probably ask the local fire department for sure on where to get the training.
It is sometimes called Hazwhopper certification

I know you can get certified if you join the Marine Corps...J/K.....
If you call camp pendleton, you could probably get hooked up with somebody if you get lucky. 760 725-4110
 
Squirt you mean I cannot have my beard?

Not afraid to take the course now that I have been made aware of it, true I won't get this job as they need it done in the next couple days.

Man if I really have to shave off my beard I will have to think long and hard if I would have enough work using the paper I get saying I passed to do it. This beard has been on me for half my life now, besides I might not like what I look like:)

I will call them, also plan to check local college and fire department as Scott said.

I tried to join the Marines, Navy, Army, Air Force and Coast Guard, none wanted me, well the Navy almost got me but I screwed up during the physical when they said to do something like go left I went right since I did not hear what was said.

Since your new your not aware I am about 65% deaf, not counting I am past the age to join! Oh also I don't deal well with authority.

For hazmat you have to be quilified in SCBA
self contained breathing aperatis that means a face mask cant get a seal around that beard
i used to have to do work at a plant that made fiberglass insulation if something went wrong you had to put a mask on they would make me shave before i was allowed in. did'nt bother me
i grow a beard in 4 days
 
Hi Guys,

Several years ago a local plant needed some pipes cleaned on the inside. We had to go through lung testing since we had to use supplied air. The material in the pipes was Spent Sulfuric Acid.

We also have a food plant that we do work for that requires beards to be shaved to enter their plant. No beard nets but must wear hair nets!
