Help finding sump pump

Hi guys, I want to reclaim my washwater and don't have a ton of space on a trailer to install a fancy hydrotek or sirocco system.
I pull my 5x8 trailer with my 4runner which doesn't have much space either.

I was hoping to get a sump pump and carry about 200' of garden hose and try to find a place to pump the water at most locations.

My questions are:
-do I do this by first filtering out the grease and oils through a tube I've seen that has bark and stuff in a fish netting type of tube?
-is there a certain sump pump that works best and doesn't overheat?
can I get one that is battery operated or do I have to have a generator too? I mean space is really a hot commodity on a 5x8 trailer!

How about this one...?

Do people ever run their sump pump with an extension cord hooked up to their customers power outlet. Yeah I know its bushleague, but is it ever done?

I have so many more questions, but would be really grateful if even half of these were answered!

Thanks

surpluscenter.com usually has quite a few, some 12v

Never seen anyone using one, I bet they're pretty reliable though. Are you going to just let the water run to a low spot or are you going to pump out of a tank?

I'm still considering what's best.

I've talked to a local distributor who said that a sump pump would work well with some sand traps if I bought his pricey sump pump that picked water up from only 1/4" off the ground. I guess most sump pumps only kick on when they are under a couple inches of water. I could see how that would lead to alot of problems.

If I had a trailer only 2' longer it would be quite easy to fit a 30 or 55 gallon drum with a vacuum head on it and pump out of that. I hear that is the more practical option after talking to Michael from First Choice Power Washing.

I was thinking about buying a ridgid vac from the home depot with stainless steel 16 gallon drum and install a sump pump in their with a check valve. Anybody try that?

I'm also getting pretty frustrated and am just thinking of throwing some oil socks on the ground and letting the water run as it runs.

I'm gonna track down the local water district tomorrow and see what the requirements are locally to pump into a sewer drain. I bet you can't even do that in half the cities here.

15gl tank is only 15" diameter

So, a smaller footprint you want,
smaller it already was..
our 15gl tank is only 15" diameter.
and it will last 8 to 10 years.
and it will pump out against a vacuum 4 times stronger than one from Lowes.
..that's 4 times the workspeed.
and you can suck up-in-to the back of your truck,
..instead of having to set it on the ground every time.
and it makes you look more professional,
and it has a better warranty.
and it can run a vacuuming surface cleaner against your 5gpm pressure washer
..at 100ft.
and it will never waste your time.
and so on, and so on..

I can help with your stormwater questions too.
We'll start with a "WashWater Control Handbook" .. for free.
