What about a Cat 66DX direct drive pump ? Will it pull from a tank ?

Yes. But as Scott mentioned, large supply line, and head pressure when starting up the washer. Once running and primed, it will suck a tank dry.

I think you have to change the unloader to pull water from a tank with a direct drive pump. Russ J will know for sure

Whats "head pressure"?

The pressure of the water in the tank pushing down. More water in the tank, more pressure pushing down. About 1 psi for every 2 feet in height of water. Direct drives put out to much rpm to draft water with any effeciency.

I KNOW A HOUSE SPICKET CAN HANDLE 4 GPM BUT IM THINKING OF UPGRADING TO AT LEAST 5 GPM. WILL I NEED A WATER TANK?
OR WILL THE HOSE PUT OUT THE GPM.
