I've always been a little weird.
I won't join anything I don't believe in no matter what the benefits are.
On the other hand I send donations all the time to orgs and causes I believe in that have no benefits at all just for the sake of advancing their cause.
I know most people aren't like me.
With that in mind, I've always thought there should be two levels of membership. One that gives access to the forum and a few discounts and other benefits that is inexpensive for new guys and those who just want to check out the org. And a regular full price membership that offers all the discounts and benefits, free training and even some mentoring programs.
I don't know if that would work or not because I don't know if the low price of entry would offset the lack of commitment that comes with a low price of entry.
I also don't know if it's a good idea to reduce the cost of membership at all under any circumstances. Doing so may appear to undervalue the full paying members.
I've always thought any help with laws or local authorities should be available to all in the industry whether they are members or not. Some will disagree with me on that.
Regardless of the price, If you think the UAMCC is doing the right thing and going in the right direction please become a member and help.
