Since a few of us have been getting LinkedIn messages from Influential Women, here are the top 3 things I'd check before saying yes to any media feature like this.
1. Cost. Ask up front whether the feature is free or if there's a paid package. Either is fine, but you should know before you book a call.
2. What you get. Find out where the piece will be published, whether it's an interview or a written profile, and if you can share it on your own site and LinkedIn.
3. Results. Look at past features and see whether those people are still sharing them. Ask what kind of reach or exposure you can realistically expect.
