& is the problem

We're putting together a web site and it seems that the little "&" symbol is a problem .. ....the search engines don't reconize the "&". Anyone have a solution to this? I would be grateful for any guidance or advice in this area.

OOOhhh man I owe you an apology ... I should of wrote the "&" the problem when creating a domain name. Only letters number and hyphens are allowed...once again sorry bout that . I shouldn't post when I'm that tired.
