this is your answer you had awhile back in another forum and hear is my answer............

I had a real close call in the airplane about a month ago.... it was a great day to fly but not my day.........I lost an engine .....well it stalled on me and that knocked the fear and ######## right into to me... I have'nt been up since... It gave me a rude awakening...... I sold my 1/4 interest in the plane I was flying and at this time I do believe I wont be back up......... maybe once in awhile I will attempt another flight...........

BEsides it's time to ride the bike and I plan on putting on some miles. so far this year I got in about 300 miles..... we have had a great winter........ and not to mention my hog will be on it's way.
so I am putting my wings down for awhile and going to go cross country on a scooter..

And I am working on a deal to lease 9200 acres of prime hunting land here in PA. I cant waite untill it gets finalized. There is no building so I will have to build one...... This is the first time in 10 years that there was anybody interested in giving up a lease . It's about 2 hours from me..........should of kept my wings huh???????

Dan to bad you were not around back in the 50s and 60s when my uncle and cousins flew beachcrafts and Pipers.

he taught the Army flyers back in WW2 how to fly, taught the guys during Korea how to fly and his sons and me.

Only problem was he was a precission flyer, he expects a 3 point landing with NO tires squeeling and yes he could land that way.

What he did with me was take me up in his piper 2 seater with joy stick, cut the engine and put it into a dive saying start it up or crash, and you talk about your experience! I was only 14 back when he did that to me.

Why don't I have a private pilots license your asking, easy answer, hearing, lack of it, back then could wear headphones, now you must be able to hear without them.

HOG you say, new or used, which model? Dang I miss riding bikes too.

Dan,

I think you need to hop back in that plane and go for it.

If it is truly your time to go, you're gonna go regardless of whether you are flying a plane, riding a cycle, or washing a truck.

Dan great choice in the FATBOY. I test rode one at Sturgis 2 years ago with the fuel injection. What a nice ride. Me, still after my dreams of the Heritage Springer. Maybe one day when the money tree in the backyard recovers from my divorce:).

Take a minute and look at flying and the scare you had and compare it with a scare you had on the bike. You didn't stop riding. Get back in the air, you know you really love it, so JUST DO IT:)

Have a great riding season, if you go cross country you got a place to stay overnight here if you wish.

Yeah I know Mike but when it's "my time" I want it to be on a hog not in the air........lol..........

sounds great reed.............I have a sis in Missouri......somewhere........ I was in that state about 3 or so years ago to bury my dad.........

Being In the air flying about and having a loud bike inbetween your legs is a BIG,,,,,,,,, difference..I dont think I will ever totally give up the ole "joy" stick but since I sold my 1/4 now I will have to pay everytime......... or buy one......lol...... naaaaa ..........not with my salary...................a new hog is enough fer me.

Nothing like the feel of the bike is there. I rode mine from here in St Peters all the way to Sturgis. What a ride. Unreal.

Ride safe and ride hard, but most of all RIDE. Like the T-Shirt says "Land of the Free, so ride like it"
