Russ, I know it makes you feel purty but you need to ease up on the tanning bed and rogaine.

No refund...my contribution over there was worth it, I have a network all across the nation now..and we don't always agree or subscribe to the same ideas or organizations.

Never understood people donating $$ to the BBS's. If the bbs runs without sponsors, fine, but if they have sponsors, they are making money. Heck, that guy that just started cleaningtalk and has had contractortalk does this for a living. I remember talking to Greg quite a bit about his board and he made a little chunk off of it......this one is different, because I think Ron (maybe no longer "just" Ron) fronts all the cash for it. That's awesome. Seriously, that is way bigger than a lot of us give credit for. But......if he started taking donations.....then what?? IMO, money ruins everything.

I think I know Ron barely well enough to know that all he'd want of this board is for it to be the BEST. I don't think he is looking at it as a profit source. You weren't around Jason, but when this board was created it was because the only other board was also to the point of pre-war Germany. Ron wanted this board to be about free thought, and everyone was skeptical, but six years later it hasn't changed.

i agree with you john ,ron would never take any money but were just making a point that we would get more fom our money here than from giving it to PWNA ,thats all.....

...Well said. If someone ever has the time/energy/desire, they should compare/contrast the PWNA with the PDCA (painting and decorating contractors of america). I read an article where the pdca went to court on behalf of some or their contractors. And won. Made me chuckle in envy.

Chicken or the Egg: PWNA says, "we cannot improve without bigger #'s, more participation". Average washer says, "I cannot spend my money and effort on something that provides me absolutely no good." Dilemma.

I don't want to donate to make anyone rich only for the upkeep of the site...help offset the costs. Shoot Ron was going to spend his money to fly out and meet with me when I was in the states and Grant who's running the board Did come out and train me while I was in the states ( Along with HotShot and Bryan exhaust). So if there was an option available to donate I would...My hope is to see this BBS be NUMBER 1 and in my opinion it is. Thanks PWI!!
 
In a nut shell, the other bbs rely on the income. They all are there source of income that helps them get by form day to day.

PWI has never made a nickel. It’s not how I survive. If it was it would surely be what you guys call number one.

On the other note we should respect the way others have chosen to make a living and not attack the way they believe a Pressure washing bbs should be run.

Some people think I’m foolish to cover the costs of PWI. Some people think we should have sponsors. It will never happen; no sponsors and it will never generate a nickel of income for me personally.


When PWI was one years old I turned several offers to purchase, one was very tempting at over 30 g’s.
