What about the questions about STRAP A HOOD? You answer those first!

Clamps are cheap insurance and rarely ever fail. Twisting plastic under those plastic tabs doesn't seem real secure and might even tear the plastic. Also does the 3/4" drain have a strainer on the inside? If not I think it would plug up fairly often.
Mikey you got a whole load of ideas, was the pickle bucket supreme your idea too?
 
PS. If you are actually serious about this idea, it belongs in a different forum, not here.

Mikey, does that barrel come in different sizes? I find that sometimes a smaller tub i.e. lower to the floor, makes it easier to catch the water, then we simply put a pump in it to remove the water. And yeah we still have questions about the strap at hood.

I like it! keep up the great ideas, I don't see any of the "old timers" coming up with any new ideas. Just trying to shoot down everybody elses.

No one is shooting him down, we just have some simple questions. He has yet to answer any question regarding either of his ideas.

I am open to any new idea that will save me time and money. All of us have tricks of the trade and we share those ideas with others as the questions come up. In fact I would be the first to buy the item if it would work. In knowing the trade, both items would not save time or money as presented to us.

Almost anybody that has been in this business for about two weeks starts dreaming up ideas to make it easier, faster, cleaner and more profitable, some of the ideas are good, most are more trouble than they are worth and even more end up wasting time and money. The thing about this business is that there are very few ideas that havn't been tried over and over again. I will always read (with intrest) a new idea, some I can tell within a few sentences that they are a waste of time, some I will give some more thought to, and very few are worth trying.
Keep up the ideas...just don't expect to get rich selling them here
 
I agree, we simply asked some questions that never got answered. He has come up with Idea's to solve problems we have already solved, each in our own way. With the strap a hood thingy, he has solved a problem that for me is not a problem. Give me an easy way to attach the plastic at the wall under the hood and I'll be all over it. We all evolved by ourselves and have seem to have come up with almost the same methods with minor variations I'm sure. what does that say? Keep coming up with idea's, just answer our questions. If someone tried to sell you something and disappeared when you had a question, would you buy it?
 
Does anyone actually carry barrels in the vehicle? Would seem like a terrible waste of time and space. In several years we have not once lacked a container at the job site. We use trash barrel liners which are discarded after wheeling to and dumping waste water in the mop bin. What could be easier and less time-consuming?

I have mentioned this idea to my crews and still want the Rubber Maid.

What is the brand and type of liner? It make sense to me. It would save lots of room.

Don't know the manufacturer David. I get them from 'Midnight Restaurant Supply'.

Whats the cost on the liners? Thinking about doing it this way-just to save time if nothing else-not to mention replacement of the barrels. Should be able to pick this up from my plastic vendor.

We use lawn and leaf bags from Lowes, and the customer's trash can(s) the bags are cheap enough and they only have to last through one job. We then put all the plastic in them and put in the dumpster. Yeah it would look more professional if we carried out own barrels, but no one has ever complained. We do carry smaller 10-gallon rubber maid tubs, mostly for storage. We will occasionally put a pump in them and use them to catch water.
 
Still no Mikey. Why don't you answer the questions we have for these products? We really aren't busting your chops, we just have questions.
