steven,

i've heard of these things but know nothing about them. fill us in on them. what applications are they for? can talk me into one of them. i currently use a shurflo 60 psi at 1 gpm for deck work

thanks, roy

Roy, The Deckhand portable sprayer has a Shurflo (on demand) pump rated at 1.6gpm @ 100 psi. Right now it comes in AC or DC models, but starting about March 1 it will have a DC pump with a power inverter so it can run off of electricity also. The unit comes with a trigger gun with a cone nozzle, adj. ball valve to reduce pressure and flow and 50 ft. of hose. This unit is great for applying stains, sealers and cleaning chemicals. The Deckmate is a smaller unit. Both units can bee seen by clicking on the link at my website. The unit is shown with a hose reel option thet is being phased out. The new units will have a hose bracket mounted on the back and a battery box for a lawn tractor battery to save on weight of the unit. Both units have a one year warranty. We hope to have an updated page on our website with a demo video clip by March. Please view our website at www.rowlettpressure.com and call at 1-800-357-6295 and I will try to answer all of your questions.

steven,

can you put 150ft of hose on the cart or will it be set up to handle only 50ft? i do like the inverter idea. can you charge the battery at the same time?

Roy, According to the Tech. Dept. at Shurflo, you can use 150' of 1/4" hose but the pressure will drop to around 40 psi. Personally I would keep it under 100'. For most decks if you can set it in the yard and do the whole deck with 50' of hose. I will have to get back with you about charging the battery. I will try to have an answer later tomorrow.
Thanks
