Does anyone send out a newsletter to your customers? just something to stay in touch, or something you can give to potential customers. I was thinking about this but didnt know if I could come up with enough ideas to put in it every month. i was thinking maybe quarterly newsletters or something. what do you guys think?

Depending on what type of business you do, you can get away with quarterlies - it's a good time for seasonal info which makes it easier to write :)

I think quarterly makes more sense in this business. Monthly will probably get to be junk mail like and get tossed. I say this knowing I haven't been practicing what I preach but I'll bet 99% of all our customers have email. We should be harvesting email address for all of them just for a newsletter.

I'd also advise using a commercial email service to deliver. Once you get over a certain number determined by your ISP you can get in trouble for spamming even if you have permission. I did. I also got blacklisted worldwide for spamming even though I had permission. I know it sounds nuts but it happened and I can't get off of a couple of the lists.

I just started sending out a monthly mailer to Property Managers show pics of 3 commercial jobs from the previous month. I hand address and use my name as the return address instead of company name. Just started this month

There are alot of guy's here that send out mailers, Ron & Jeff are probably the top 2 that i know of. I have been advertising in the HOA community newsletters in my area for 15yrs now. This is a monthly newsletter that goes directly to the homeowners and the P/M as well, this has been the best money I have spent over the years.

I have been in almost every possible publication including the Yellow Pages and the HOA newsletter has always been the best money spent, and your in their face every month.
