Good call. You are going to enjoy the surface cleaner for sure. I bought a NOrthStar(Northern Equip) one here, and I don't use it all the time, but when I do I am glad to have one of atleast that quality

Actually its a safety measure so that you don't start digging a crop circle in the driveway. I use a ball valve to turn mine on and just do it slowly and start walking it before cranking it all the way on.

I just have always made sure I was moving the surface scrubber before I pull the trigger and also when releasing it. Seems to me if it's on its side and you pull the trigger you have to drop it down and that could cause some "slamming down" affect.
 
Whoever you order your parts from, get a ball valve (black handle on the silver valve) and install that on the end of the hose with a coupler on the inlet and a plug on the outlet.

Install a coupler on the inlet of your guns and surface cleaner so you can connect quickly.

The surface cleaner needs to be moving when you open the ball valve or you can make permanent crop circles like in the pictures above, when the surface cleaner is sitting in one place, it is cleaning harder and harder into concrete and if the concrete is a little or a lot weak (like a lot of concrete these days) you will have permanent etching that will not ever go away. Slowly start walking as you open the ball valve or pull the trigger.

I would go and get insurance before cleaning anything, just in case.

Go clean concrete at friends, family and relatives' houses for your practice. When you understand what you are doing, can do a good job and do the detailing with the wand then it is time to go and knock on doors of businesses and houses and offer to do a free demo when you see some dirty concrete.

A free demo will help them see how dirty their concrete really is and it will give you more practice.

I do have insurance and I have the ball valve you mentioned hooked up already,I have been doing house cleaning and concrete cleaning with a wand, but now I'm ready to take it to the next level. I ordered my classic from Bob and has set me up with the right nozzles. The unit should arrive today and I will change the nozzles tomorrow and give it a shot?

These were some great tips as well thanks guys.

P.s. Since I'm using hot water I really don't need chems do I?
Or is it just better to use a strong house wash with the surface cleaner?
