Paint on asphalt

anybody ever clean latex paint off asphalt?

I had a proprty manager of a propety I do email me to look at some white latex paint on older but in good shape asphalt roadway. I guess its a few weeks old, but driving the HOA Prez nuts. I took a quick look at it, it runs through the main road of the property. It most of been spilling out the back of a truck its splattered about 400-500 yards down the road and about a foot wide

Just seems like it would be difficult to clean up at all, without damaging the asphalt. The PM just says they shoud let it wait and recoat next year

I'm going to check it out with a little hot water and see if it even budges, I dont think it will

anybody ever have success with this kind of clean up?

If you're sure its latex, plain old hot water should work. If its oil based paint a little caustic cleaner and hot water will work.

All do respect the cautic will also take the seal up.

Jeff, she may have no choice. Acid should remove latex if it is latex. I had a customer tell me two weeks ago its just some latex and it was traffic paint.

if the seal is good you should be able to get enough pressure and hot water to remove latex with out damage.

I just went and did a test. Worked real well. I use heat and pressure wasnt really lifting that good, then I put a roto nozzle to it, backed off a little and it came right off for the most part and no damage. Let it dry and it looked pretty darn good. Now we will see if they want to spend the money
