Straight SH should have done it. Anything that is organic such as leaf stains, acorn stains, etc... should dissolve and dissapear with a good stiff shot of SH-(chlorine). Are you sure that they are not iron stains from fertilizer pellets and of course the next question that will also be asked is how strong is your SH?

Take some oxalic acid when you go and try that on a spot.

Is it from the leaves, the nuts or the tree sap?

I have stains around here from Mesquite tree sap that nothing will get out from sidewalks and driveways. The stuff is brown then eventually turns black and will not budge.

It is not the thick syrup residue, it leaves behind a brown/black stain.

I have tried straight bleach, oxalic, degreasers, saferestore, etc..... No luck yet but I am always looking when I hear of some good chemicals.

Good Luck, if you find something that works, please let us know.

I have a huge golf course here in northwest Phoenix area. The tree trimmers did their scope of work trimming dozens of date palms. While collecting and hauling off the trimmed date palm branches, they crushed 100's of date palm pods of the pavers, concrete and exposed aggregate. I have yet to find anything to resolve the stains. Straight SH, Oxilac, Muratic acid; nothing even fazed the stains.

Any input or suggestions would be appreciated.

Good reason to get into offering driveway/patio coatings with your business. Sherwin Williams has some good marine industrial epoxy coatings that would eliminate that issue once installed. It should just wipe off with the coating. Easy way to make a quick $600 profit.

I deal with that exact thing everytime I go to Ft Laurderdale. I have just put down straight SH and there gone. When i leave they cut all the pods out of the tree so it will not get stained again.
