Please list 3 of the most washed [types] of surfaces you clean and what you found that cleans them the best. Also list chems that you were not happy with and why.
We all have chems sitting around that we tried but did'nt like.
I will start it off.
HOUSE VINYL- R109,DBN1430,DAWN,BLEACH,GUTTER ZAP
CEMENT- DBN1430
TRUCKS-R109,DBN1430,HF ACID,PH ACID,CITCIC CLEANER,SH,DELCOS WAX
never tried any other house wash, I like gutter zap but its pricy, sometimes use dbn1430
cement, mostly hot water. Never tried anything other then my truck wash chems to clean cement.
trucks; tried zep's TNT too much money
tried brown derby when i first started, never gave it a second chance. Tried some soap from KO CHEM. juries still out on that one.
Any MFG. that wants to chime in and defend or promote there products is welcome to.
The reason for this post is to help MFG in improving there products and/or to make sure you are useing them correctly. I feel this is a WIN,WIN type of post.

wheres the poll?

Why didnt ya like brown derby?

did you mix it right?

brownderby is the same as powerbrite and a bunch of dif. nams as well same product dif. name

I mix it and make 1 55 gal drum of conct. then I take 20 to 25 gal outa it and put it in another 55 gal drum then fill it up with more h20 . I get 2 drums for 170.00 thats with shipping ..
After I get it mixed I up-stream it ..

and if i use it for a pre-spray I take 5 to 7 gals of the conct. make a 55 gal drum outa it and spray with a shru-flo
works great on trks.

Now also I use the conct. on flat work .
with a surface cleaner and up-stream .

but like you said somewhare else what works for one may not work for another .

so this we be interesting to see what answers you get .

Maybe this idea would work better if you made seperate threads for each type of washing.

Having info for all kinds of chemicals in one post is going to be too confusing. (maybe)

DAN the first soap i ever tried was brown derby and got it from a landa dealer. Big Bucks.
Then i found delcos board ,then yours.
I started listening to bigboy and never went back to the brown durby.
im now looking at steve rowlett chems and soap wharehouse. I want to try some PH acid again[getting more polished trucks and its safer then HF] Steve has the drums but $300 and shipping $90 is big money to me. If i were sure that that 1 drum would make 3 and downstream at 20 to 1
then i could see it being that much.
i have tried more then one chem that said you could make more then it could.
Who here has used his PH acid? I want to here from others.
This is why i started this thread.
One more weekend then we change the clocks
i cant wait.

steve has a great soap as well i have used it.....

and I would like to be honest here .

it's the same thing as soap warehouse

I got the derby shipped to me for 169.90

from warehouse

1 drum makes two >>>>>>>>>>>

all the derby>> powerbrite>>> magnum>>> rootbeer>>> fleetbrite>>
they are all the same...... dif. name different supplier .........

I dont mean to take away from any one here selling this but I had to learn what was what >>>>>>>>> and I do believe that is what this board is all about > helping each other out ...
so if I stepped on anybodys toes .... im sorry >>>>>>>>>> dont take it the wrong way

Dan S. , Just for the record My products have nothing to do with Soap Warehouse nor do I have any business dealings with them. I am not saying anything bad about them , just that wou are wrong on your statement. Please don't confuse anyone here. No you didn't step on my toes, you wern't even close to my feet. P.S , thanks for stating that you liked my product. You have to say that I did all that I could to please you, that is just the way I am.
Thanks

i also find that there is not a stand alone truck wash. Bigboy has shown me that there are ways to doctor up any soap to make it do the trick.
[i have not tried steves soap]
i currently have ordered a,downstreamed, pre-soak
and wash off type. I have never tried doing it this way. I, 2 step, with hot upstream soap applied over HF acid. Costly and time consuming but only brush 10% of the time. Was told that this one step is totaly safe for alum. and glass and that it will do the same thing. $90 for kit to make 55 gal
delivered. My next step if this wont do the trick is to get PH acid from steve.
Let's here about HOUSE WASH.

Was told that this one step....will do the same thing........delivered....if this wont.... WASH.

LMAOROTF with this next q'ote """My next step""""

Will agree with mike ......"going to be too confusing. (maybe)"

sorry Steve >>>>>>

I know you arent with soap warehouse

it's just that when you compare msds and the power brite label that was on the 55 gal drum > then I would assume that it is the same powerbrite that everybody and there brother sales >>>>>>

yes I will still buy from ya you do have great products ...

Im a price shopper 170.00 for a drum is hard to beat (delivered)

yes you did all you could do to make sure i was happy with your product
and it wasnt that i wasnt happy......."Im a price shopper "

So forgive me if I compared an apple with an orange ..

Thanks for your responce Dan. There will be companies that are a little cheaper but the same goes for pressure washing contractors. I feel that I offer the sevice and support that the other guys can't, won't or don't offer. I doubt that your previous supplier spent as much time with you as I have. Don't take me wrong but if you thought my product was the same why did you keep changing the ratio. And I say again that is not meant to be sarcastic. I always have the time for anyone that calls with questions with a toll free number that is out there for anyone to use that is paid for by me and no one else. There is more to value than just who has the cheapest price. There has been more times than not that a customer has told me they were given a cheaper bid but they went with me anyway.

Steve,
this was never my intent to peeeeeee anybody off .. once agin Im sorry if I got close to your feet.

The problem was never the soap it was the injector .Thats why I "played" with the mix........ it wasnt doing what we said it was to do >>>>>>> so >>>>>>>>.
after trying this trying that . I thought I would try an injector >>>>>>> and guess what the soap you have did what it you said it would do ......
but then I took it a step farther and went for price>>>>>>>>
it was never b/c of your product . It was the injector ....

I will be getting some acid and degreaser off ya sometime here soon ...............

and just for the record YES >>>>>>>>
THE other vendors spent just as much time with me as you did >>>>>>>

TRACY was one of them
he also sales great products and very knowledgeable

hope we still can do business sometime >>>>

thank you for taking time out to lead an ear >>>>

Thanks Dan. Sure we can do business together. I just wanted things cleared up for the benifet of the others on this board. There are a lot of new people here and I didn't want them mislead. You will always receive the service I have given in the past.
