Pressure Washer Ratings

We are contemplating building a lower hp pressure washer with a remote fuel tank so it runs more than 10 min. With a 13 hp motor what would you like to see in flow and pressure.

At what point do you feel the benefit if increased flow is offset by reduced pressure?

Paul, that would greatly depend on what your cleaning. verticle surface i would want more flow & less pressure posibly.

Hood cleaners want less flow and not really much pressure in some circumstances.

I think every job is different.

I just voted in the middle of the pack ,personally I like the 5.5 @3500 its good and tried and true ,I know it was not in the list but I still feel its the best all around cleaner

10 GPM for me, we have a 5.5 and a 8 GPM now.

6@2000 is fine for us, for concrete I do like 5.5@3

Ok I am thinking 10,000@ 12gpm but that just wouldn't be right.. Unless maybe I could use it to blow some of these chinese restaurants down. Or maybe I could go into the concrete removal business.. LOL I guess I will just stick with my 3000@4gpm Whitco.. It works great for hood cleanings and cleaning interior floors with the surface cleaner.. The Hot water and lower gpm do really great inside buildings.. As for the outside concrete I would like to use a 6gpm machine with hot water just to see what would happen.. I know the rinsing would be alot more easy..

Washing underground garages we as of recently hook two 4gm/4000 psi together, 8 gal tip on a dual lance. It means you can move the dirt of two guys. Can't believe we didn't do it sooner. Now a single machine by itself feels like a kids supersoaker. If one machine pukes, you just grab another, hook up and get going again.

10gpm @ 3500psi this would be ideal for me..
