What Sort Of New Courses Are You Interested In??
The PWNA Directors are committed to providing the classes that y'all want and need. We are currently talking about a Safety class, truck washing, some "advanced" courses, a beginner's general course, etc.

Help us set the priorities right by posting what you'd like to see developed over the coming months. We're listening!

I would like for the PWNA to make it harder to get certification.

I am ASHI (American Standard of Home Inspection) certified. You have to have over 200 inspections under your belt, send in a resume describing your experience, take a correspondence course, and take a two-part exam (not a exam that you take at home) --- The exam is very difficult, but if a Realtor or Home Owner knows that your ASHI certified - You get the business.

I really think you guys are on the right path. I hope to join soon. I would really enjoy an opportunity to help further the PWNA. I have a ton of ideas.

Tim,

Thank you for responding. We would love to have new ideas and fresh thoughts. One of our goals is to revamp the certification program. Right now we are looking at a beginner or "newbie " class and then an introductory certification with an advanced course that would follow for areas such as Kitchen Exhaust , Wood , Environmental , Fleet Washing , et. All ideas are welcome and wanted. I hope you do decide to join in the future. Thank you.

I plan to join within the next month. I have research the PWNA with a fine tooth comb & overall, I like what I see.

Is there an opportunity for a new member to really get involved - more than just membership?

Absolutely! We just started forming new committees and for the first time, that I know of , there is a large part of the membership on the specific committees. the organization is making corrective steps to expand and to include more folks in the committeees as well as the decisions that are made. It is just not the President and the Board that do everything. It is recognized that for the PWNA to grow that more folks within the membership need to be involved.
