Question about Kitchen Exhaust cleaning

Henry Bockman

Maryland Pressure Washing
I had a company call me for information about KEC but I don't provide the service so I was unable to help him out. I referred him to PWI because a lot of the posts on this BBS seem to focus on KEC.

Now I have questions about it.. I understand it's a very profitable business if you like working nights and small confined places. But, what kind of equipment do you all use besides hot water low GPM units? Is most of the work done with chems like the other power washing services? What's the best chemical to use, best equipment ect.. I'd like to be able to help out the next guy that asks me these questions but I need to find out more about it myself first.

i WONDER ABOUT THE CERTIFIED COMPANIES ATLEAST AROUND HERE .......THE LAST FEW I HAVE DONE WE'RE DONE BY THE SO CALLED CERTIFIED ONE'S WHAT SLOPPY WORK ......

chems

 For most of the places i service i use a caustic soda mix..(not on alumimun thu)spelled that wrong..ohhh well

Thanks, that site has a lot more information than I ever needed..lol What chemicals do most KEC guys use for cleaning or what is the best product?

Most guys use caustic soda and a sufactant e.g. dishwashing liquid. Bonzi is the best product I have seen but the most expensive. Just like Bryan Exhaust is the best exhaust cleaning company but also the most expensive:D
