I had to run out for a bit to do a few things this morning. When I returned I was greeted by about 15 Non American speaking folks all armed with pressure Washers. About 6-7 of them are walking around with God only knows what in pump up sprayers and spraying the breezeways. The rest of them are more or less attempting to rinse down the hallways and stairwells with what looks like Karcher gas powered machines. I'm dying to see how this will turn out! And of all days, On a Saturday when 90% of the people are home and running in and out. This kills me!
I live in a very nice apartment community where there are 13 bldgs and 334 units. The leasing office had approached me aprox 2.1/2 yrs ago to clean up all the breezeways and concrete walks and retaining walls. I gave them a bid which was well within their budget and never heard anything except that my bid was the only one accepted by the corp office. Since then they have had the maint. crew out doing the cleaning from time to time. I resubmitted my bid again about 3 months ago because they were getting nasty again. Never heard a word. I guess I got my answer this morning! They also hired a company last year to do all the roofs. They missed an entire bldg. LOL. You can actually go on google earth and see the bldg that they missed from a satellite. Just another example of "You get what you pay for." I'll try and get some pics of final outcome. :D

Not if they are Mexican, how is that offensive? I am one of the hardest people to offend in the world. I just thinking calling someone an offensive name is crossing the line. If you dont think so fine wih me to each his own. I am married to a Mexican and have a very large Mexican family that would probably not like being called wetbacksm but would have no problem being called Mexican. Just my 2 cents, in my opinion it comes out very bigoted.
 
First off I am not even a predudice person at all. I really would not care if they were chineese or Indian. Let me re-phrase it for you then so it does not sound so offensive. There were a group of 15 guys with pressure washers doing the Job. The whole point was that they went with some off the wall company with lousy equiptment and pump up sprayers who are not really equiped to do the job properly. If you re-read my post it says Non english speaking. Does it even say Mexican? Sorry if I offended anyone!
 
I didnt mean you larry, I was talking about the wetback post. And for the record I was more just pointing out it could be offensive. But thanks for responding

I know what you mean I saw a guy washing at a gas station at rush hour and had 4 parking spots taken up with a 5x8 tilt trailer and a cheesy little set up. He could speak english, but was none to bright. lol

Sorry i thought that was the proper name for Mexican Americans, i heard your boy Mancia calling his people wetbacks.
 
I had an odd phone call from a person who could barely speak english. He managed to get out that he wanted a quote for a local electronics store??? He said he owned a cleaning company out of town and had a contract with the store local to me and wanted me to sub, as best I understood through a child interpreter...
I asked them to fax me a request for estimate, they did not know how to do that but had a fax number???
Future lowballer, unskilled labor....Forget some of that P.C. crap get some thicker skin and protect your families income.
I grew up in a part of Washington state that it 70% mexican by census..It's mainly agriculture here..
I'm sorry but even the locals call themselves by what they categorize themselves as...:rolleyes:
 
Well I see my comments fall on deaf ears and you are what you are. Like I said I am very hard to offend and have very thick skin so trust me I will be alright. Look there are good and bad people of every race, but the fact that you call a Mexican a wet back is equivilant to calling a black person a nigger. It is a very bigoted thing to say and thought you guys would be better served in a public forum not to call such names. Anyway, I am out and you guys behave like you want.
