"Respect is earned and not freely given"

"What you say, SPEAKS so LOUDLY that I can't even hear you"

"Ignorance is NOT bliss"

Just a few of the many sayings I find myself contemplating after reading all the posts listed on this thread.

It would do us all good to remember that this is truly going out to a worldwide audience and we need to put our best foot forward. Sometimes, its appropriate to joke or poke fun at situations, I, however personally think this topic has lost its point. And gotten UGLY. Lets clean it up instead of giving our industry a black eye.

You ARE what YOU speak about.

Ignorance must be bliss. Freedom of speech or freedom of expression as you call it has no meaning in private or privately owned (this forum) situations. Freedom of speech only deals with the government not being able to infringe or your right to speak your mind. If the owner of this board decided he doesnt like you for WHATEVER reason, he can ax ya and there aint nutin you can do about it.

Now I don't deserve to be a member?? Oh brother....

As with all the other posts you seem to miss the point, or come up with your own anyway. Like I said ignorance must be (for you anyway) bliss.

Sorry to inform you. I Sir am am more of an intellectual person. Far from ignorant... Your entitled to your opinion but to label me is far from your realm of abilities considering you don't even know me...If this thread is such a problem why has it not been locked by a mod....

guys...

sailing a bit close to the wind here - please keep it constructive.

I'm sure we all understand the frustrations that we face in the operation of our businesses, whether they may be competition (whatever nationality, race, religion they may be), economic conditions, cash flow, etc, etc.

... but let's try to air our grievances in a manner that promotes productive debate and discussion.

I'm all for free speech... but remember that some things are almost always going to result in disagreement: Politics, Race & Religion. Disagreements are fine, but this is not your local social club or bar - if you really need to 'get into it' use the Private Message facility, and have a 'one-on-one' spat.

I believe Larry was highlighting issues with regard to professionalism and standards within our industry - the majority of us try to push the bar and raise standards for everyone. It just so happens that often 'cheap labor' get some jobs that we feel we are entitled to...

... the way I see it, many of the experienced guys have seen operations like the one Larry mentioned come and go - and they will always come and go!!

As 'business owners' we need to find ways to capitalize on the weaknesses of this type of competition, and give ourselves every opportunity to be successful.

My comments are in the best interest of PWI, and its members. :)
