This is to all who don't get before pics on your jobs.Last week started a big job on a house in Mobile and as always I took some before pics to cover my butt(some may remember my flowerpot story).

I finished the job and low and behold the homeowner's assistant called and advised me that we had Killed the owners plants!I tried to explain that we use the same chems on the whole house and if there was a problem it would have affected all the bushes.He wouldn't hear it.He wanted me there to see what we had done to his wife's plants,her favorite plants.By now I'm really starting to sweat it because this was a very landscaped property close to a million dollar home.

I get there and sure enough dead shrubs, take some pics and as I'm looking through them I look back at the before pics and there they were dead shrubs.Wow it saved my butt big time.

If you don't carry a camera you should in my opinion it could save you some big $.A picture is worth a thousand words and in this case it could have been worth a thousand bucks.

He wouldn't talk to me, his assistant said to just not worry about the flowers after they saw them.Well yeah!

Oh by the way the shrubs in the left corner are the ones that were dead.The thing of it is they were caladiums which are getting ready to die as soon as it hits 60 degrees at night.

I wish I could have seen his face. He is a CEO of a BIG company I'm sure he doesn't eat crow very often.I hope he liked it.

Don't you just love people like that trying for a free bee anyway they can get and the worst part is he has money and they are the worst at times.

When I see dead plants or damage to the house I try to take a picture or let the h/o know.

It doesn't hurt to be over cautious.

I should probably just take pictures at every estimate

I also take before and after pics for protection and to show potential customers my work.

I have been doing it now on All first time jobs just in case they say there is something wrong with my work and so far I have had good luck, but I do it now everytime.
