Hello Grease pipe cleaners,

I did a search on solid fuel cooking came up with vary little info... Seems like surface tension is high, especially on aluminum?
Acculimation is high after 30 days, and no one wants them cleaned until its to late or difficult to clean... Is this like Oriental grease or similar? How are you putting out fire? So would Price Be double on lack of maintenace? Maybe a third hire on stardard cleaning at a 30 day intervals? If you like you could e-mail with advice on all these questions and prices...

Thanks in advance!

NFPA 96-2001 Chapter 14.8.1 and NFPA 96-1998 Chapter 11.8.1 The combustion chamber shall be scraped clean to its original surface once each week and inspected for deteriation or defects.
NFPA 96-1998 and earlier editions required masonary or concrete chimneys,NFPA 96-2001 and earlier require flues for solid fuel not connected to any other flues or ducts.
NFPA 96-1998 Chapter 11.8.2 NFPA -2001 14.8.2 Flue or chimney shall be inspected weekly for the following conditions:
(a) Residue that might begin to restrict the vent or create an additional fuel source. The flue or chimney shall be cleaned before these copjnditions exist.
(b) Corrosion or physical damage thate might reduce the flues's capacity to contain the effluent. The flue or chimny shall be repaired or replaced if any unsafe condition is evident.

Can't give any help on prices, but the above is the NFPA Standard for Ventilation Control and Fire Portection of Commercial Cooking OPerations. This may or may not be recognized in your area by the AHJ, but I'll bet the insurance company expects NFPA 96 to be followed.
