What is your start time of choice for residential work, such as house washing or deck cleaning??
 
I start residential work at 8:00 a.m. but someone will complain no matter what time you start...

Today washed a house, just finishing up and the police stopped by, first he asked for a permit, I said no permit needed for p.w. in this town... Than he said will we had some complaints about my trailer being in the alley.... Whice I had about 2 foot in the alley, which people could easyly get around the trailer, I just looked and said people have to much time on thier hands...

I like to start at 8:00 for deck work (staining). I wont start the washer till 9:00 or I'll ask the customer if it's ok to run the washer before then.
 
I'll usually start around 9:00am because my daughter has to catch the bus at 8:25 and I watch my 2 yr old until the wife gets back from the bus stop.

In the summer I'll start earlier and if I happened to work the nite before on my "Other" job I'll go out around noon and work to dark.

Whatever it takes to gt the job done.

I had a 24 hp onan that i got forn a guy, it had a small car muffler on it , it was very quite

take yours to a Muffler shop , they'll fix you right up!

I ll start a thread about muffler mod. , this really interest me about noise and emissions from exhaust...

We start @ 8-830, but we can clean in complete silence when necessary. Look at a generator muffler for you engine, if you could make it work it's much quieter.
 
Don't start the machine until 9 or after. Get there a little earlier to do the prep work and setup.

9:00 am and still some folks are still sleep. but oh well. i have my cold water set up on my pickup. hot water on trailer. i leave the trailer home, easier to back into customers drive way with out it. not that i cant do it but dont need any extra work.
 
We have bi-laws , start and stop times. Weekdays are different than weekends. Different from town to town. Yesterday we were right downtown Toronto, had to try and get in and out before the baseball game. People in high rise condos were complaining at 10:00 am that they didn't even want it done on a Sunday. Depending on what you are where you are, commercial creates the same time issues as residential. OH well. There's always someone who'll complain.

A quieter machine would be very helpful.

Tampa Tile Roof Cleaning

We clean roofs here in Humid Tampa.
We do a LOT of Barrel Tile, and they are dangerous and slick as heck.
We like to give the Tampa Sun a chance to dry them off so they are safer to walk on ;)
So, we seldom set foot on a tile roof in the am.
Now shingle roofs we start when we are fininshed eating breakfast, usually around 10 am.
Being hungry on a roof sucks, not many restaurants around:rolleyes:
 
We did a nice house yesterday, It took 1 hour to cleanout the gutters and 120 gallons (and 2 hours of spray time) later the house was done.
Started at 9:30
