I should get an A-ward for this thread. Lots of responses, lots of dialogue. I even got a response from Mr Allison. To see the response you do have to go to Dave's Board. Do a search for Adpub.com, click on "pressure Washer Links", then "Forums and Links", then "Dave's Pressure Washing Bullitin Board". Do I get a prize?

Hey, this is just a new guy's opinion, but common sense is common sense even if you ARE new...The bottom line is, this guy has a policy of no warrantees on things he doesn't manufacture. Why gripe when he won't take something back? If you don't like his policy, order from someone else. If you want the cheaper prices he offers, put up with the inconvenience of dealing with the manufacturer about something that broke or came defective. I haven't seen anyone accuse him of being dishonest, rather it appears he has a business approach that many find irritating or inconvenient...If that's the case, weigh the pros and cons and if you can live with the cons, take advantage of the pros, and if you can't, live without the pros.

Just my humble opinion.

I see that this thread is on again. I have ordered from ESpec many times and have been satisfied with my purchases and service most of the time. We have had problems with a few things like dual lance wands not lasting more than a month or two but overall their pricing and service has been great for us. They even drove their new Severe Duty unit down to my place for us to look at last month (3 hours one way) and it is a sweet looking machine....and we sent our main guy to a pump rebuilding seminar that they put on two weeks ago, he learned a lot + it was free. I hear alot of negative but ESpec is okay with us.
Just my 2 cents.

Well, Well. I didn't know this went this far. specially since i havent been on line to read for a while... WOW!!!!!!. Well mr. A like my brother told you it was a bad desicion not to sell to him anymore. After all I Was the one that made the coment about the serpetine hoses and yes it is true what he told you. I DID CALL TO GET IT RETURNED FOR THE WARRANTY!!! I GOT YOUR FAX TO PROVE IT. OH and by the way yes you can probably say like my brother quoted you as saying, we are a bunch of old hags that have nothing better to do than talk on the internet instead of going out to make money. Yes guys my brother talked to the man himself, and wouldn't sell to him anymore because he confuses my brother with me. Dont worry am not buying from you anymore either, or my other brother, or family members in other states. I am just sorry i didnt have the time to come on the net and see how this post progressed like it did. Damm I want to kick myself, after praising him in a different post..... Oh i guess you guys know also know by now what else he told my brother. I will stop selling to anyone that ever brings up anything about my company on the net so spread the word, we will see how long they survive without my prices on my hoses. Cannot quote this my brother is not here and i kinda have a bad memory about this. This guy would have done so much better if he had kept his mouth shut.
At least in my business if I were to go off on one manager, just one I would pay dearly... and imagine this , he decided to pick on the entire community of steam cleaners. Like they say this board is meant to take care of our own, Yes you would be one .....But it looks like you dont need us , huhh MR> A.

I ordered some hose from e-spec and they sent me some really heavy thick hydrolic hose, nothing like what they advertised. When i called them they said it was because i ordered custom lengths yet no one told me this when i ordered. Cost me 250 to send back 600' feet of hose and took 3 months to get my credit. lost 250 and alot of downtime because of their ignorance,WHAT A GREAT COMPANY!!!

Also beware of their emulsifier plus, it works great but if you mix it like they say it'll take the paint of a house and off the gutters as well,Thanks for losing me another 1800 on repainting a house. I came up with my own scaled down mix that works great. No thanks to e-spec.

WOW Chuck, Sounds like a major liability issue for e-spec. you can prove there formula removes paint? Do they have a warning about the mixing process? If they don’t do they know about it. Even though they should be responsible about this maybe they just overlooked it. Have you told them? And did they put a warning on the label yet?

Just my thoughts,, I hope no else paints any houses…

We've ordered from them for years with good success. Actually I have used the same serpentine hose for over 3 years on one reel. My only reason for replacing hose in the past was it froze on us and burst (my fault). I've also bought a tuff skid off of them and had great service from it. The unit initially was shorted the wand and had a damaged fuel cap from the shipping company and I had replacements in 2 days. No complaints here... we have even taken on their Allison Iron Horse line for resale recently.

It's hard to believe how much the experiences vary!

Happy Holidays!

PS> Ron... you need a hobby :) You have 3 times as many posts as anyone else on here!

We bought an Iron Horse machine in 2003, after a couple of initial bugs it has been great....25 hp water cooled Kohler @ 7.7 gpm.

Has anything changed?

I've ordered from them many times...always good service, never a mistake on the orders (except then they caught MY mistake and took the time to call me to verify the parts, thankfully). Shipping isn't overpriced to make up for discount prices like it is with some companies (though it IS hard to beat www.higherpowersupplies.com for shipping...free on orders over $75.00).

I've also had very good luck with Pressure Tek and also, as mentioned, higher power supplies.
