Under bid

Just a little rant. Had to submit bids on a contract I had been doing for the last two years. I figured I could continue to do this for the same price I had been doing it for. I was told I was 40% higher than the accepted bid. I figured the job at the awarded price and deducted the cost of gas, fuel and chemicals, nothing else as for as insurance, cost of equipment etc. The hourly rate came out to $18.00 an hour. How can folks operate at this.

They don't operate like that for long. I predict he won't last one year. Then you can tell them your prices have increased.
