What is the purpose of the wash? Regardless, use VERY low pressure. The purpose will determine the chems you use.

If it is 10 yrs old they are prob getting ready to paint and want to kill mold. You will prob knock off alot of paint even with low pressure. I would not give them any belief that the paint will hold while washing.

Set Expectations!
As the pro, you should be able to determine your outcome based on conditions. You will be much better off setting the customers expectations than to take a job without doing that. That will keep both of you on the same page and you won't have a fight on your hands latter about how you didn't make it look better! I see a lot of this when it comes to oxidation. Since the paint is already bad, you must let them know that after you are finished, something more will be required. If you don't, guese who they will be asking for a new paint job?! Use your housewash with about a 3% bleach solution and remove as much loose paint as possible. It will be ready then for painting and you will have done them a good job. It is my opinion that it's never a good idea to give prices without seeing the job. An inspection of what you are getting into can keep you from many problems. Set that customers expectaions and things usually go fairly smooth.
